Every life is a journey

Often a circuitous route

Sometimes the road takes you uphill

To challenge and pain and doubt

Sometimes it brings you

To a place of joy and celebration

To accomplishment and completion

And fulfillment in contemplation

Sometimes along the path

You wonder if you have gone astray

Yet the divine within you

Is the Light that shows the way

Each journey is sacred

Put before us to learn and to grow

Each journey is a gift from God

That teaches the sacred we need to know

No journey is too trivial

No journey is too grand

Each holds its own deep meaning

And its own divine plan

We travel through our lives

Not alone at all

The comfort and wisdom of God within

Is our companion through it all

For there is no knowledge greater

Than that learned while ever growing

There is no greater blessing

Than to carry forward knowing

For each journey gives rise to

Opportunities to create

More beauty and more love

More empathy and grace
