AND ALL IS WELL
We say these words at the end
Of a prayer that is so familiar to us
But I wonder, still, if we truly believe
The impact those four words have
Do we dare to believe that in God
All is truly well and in divine order
Or do we still fear and doubt and question
The very truth of our being
For we are divine, created by the divine
Meant for all good and all love
All wholeness and all prosperity
All wisdom and grace
We must truly be aware of these four words
As we speak them each and every time
Of the huge impact they have on our experiences
And on every aspect of our lives
All is well because we know who we really are
All is well because God only wants the best for us
All is well despite outward conditions
Because these conditions are not the Truth
They mock us, these fears, these doubts
As we refuse to release them
But we put them to rest and remain assured
That we really are who we claim to be
Divine children of God who inherit
The kingdom and all its glories
Beauty, love, laughter, freedom
Wholeness, prosperity and wisdom
All these gifts are ours for the taking
Ours for the fulfillment of our soul
Ours for the commitment to our own divinity
Ours to buoy us up in times of doubt
This too shall pass, it is wisely said
And this is also a Truth for
Nothing comes to stay, nothing threatens our peace
If we but hold to the truth of our being
